Hawk and Raven II was certainly worth the wait. The second story picked up at the same spot from part one- and rocketed down the path full throttle. Hawk was not about to let Raven go once he'd allowed her into his heart. I liked that Raven did not go all damsel-in-distress and give in too easily to Hawk. Hawk had to put in the work to get her back. On another note, Lorenzo and Lucas are my other heroes in the story. It will be nice to get Lo's story next. The Elder Pattels, SMH! at those guys and their old-school style. Move over old men, the younguns have it.. Once again, S.K. did the thing with this story. Bravo!
This 2nd installment was well worth the wait! You NEVER EVER disappoint your readers with any of your books. I have been a huge fan of yours since Sin City book series. With that said, Hawk and Raven had my heart palpitating while reading this book. I took my time reading this book because I didn’t want it to end. I kept looking at the percentage complete at the end of each chapter to pace my reading. Yes, this book is just that good! The battle of the wills, power, passion, love and loyalty. After being hurt, could Raven (Rae) forgive Hawk for his betrayal? Could Hawk live without Raven knowing how bad he’d hurt her? The only way you will find out the answers to these questions, you must purchase this book. You will enjoy both books.
So this was Part 2 of the first book in The Pattels series. You really need to read Part 1 to follow along because Part 2 is a continuation told from Hawk's perspective. It picks up right where the story ended in Part 1 and it picks up with intensity. This book gave me life and had it all. Hawk is so serious about his- his business, his family, just most importantly his woman. He stops at nothing to get Raven and is willing to go through any and everyone to convince her they belong together.You really see a whole different side of Hawk and get more background into the criminal business of the Pattel family. We find out more about Raven as well with so many unexpected twists and turns that keep the story going and pull you into the series. I love that we get some time devoted to Hawk's brothers Lucas and King as well his cousin Lorenzo. A few hints are dropped about Lorenzo's love interest, which In hope we get next.I love that the book is so focused on the interaction between Hawk and Raven. They are perfect for each other but they have serious obstacles to overcome. Her trust in him was broken and her negative views of his family's business are major ones. Plus his family has no love for her since her goal as ADA was to put them away. In Part 2, Raven is no longer an ADA but the damage done is still apparent. Hawk and Raven have so much chemistry you can feel it come off the pages. But it's the tender moments between them that are undeniable. I couldn't put the book down because there was action and mystery intertwined with this second chance romance. I highly recommend this series. If you like romantic suspense and a little crime drama, you will love this book. I'm already looking forward to the next installment of The Pattels.
Raven and Hawk's story was nothing like I expected. I mean, I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but the twists and turns in this one? Absolutely, no way!I loved that this story was told from Hawk's point of view. It was a nice change of pace to get his thoughts and feelings. He came on a bit strong sometimes, but he was determined to make Raven his. He was willing to do whatever to protect her. I'm glad we got his backstory, too.Raven is not at all what I expected...which is a good thing. I already liked her, but after learning so much about her, she is definitely my girl. She fought the good fight against Hawk and her feelings for him, but she had no choice but to accept the inevitable. She is definitely the perfect partner for Hawk.Another winner from S.K. Hardy! Looking forward to Lorenzo's story
Readers have come to expect certain things from an SK book: Sexy heroes, passion, drama and intrigue. The sequel did not disappoint and was 🔥. We get all of that, plus SK knows how to write a good, well thought out series. One thing is for certain, Hawk Pattel goes crazy over his woman. Things kick off where book one ended. We get to find out if Hawk will be able to make things right. I like how SK weaves in characters from previous books. It’s always good to see Angel (from the Sin City series), make an appearance. I also like how SK plant seeds for future books. If someone is new to SKs, work, I recommend reading the Sin City series first, before digging in to the Pattels. That will be a very enjoyable experience.
I don't know where to start... this book was FIRE. I have read all of Ms. Hardy's books and she never, never disappoints. I don't want give the story away, but to get the full effects, you must Book 1 (Raven and Hawk). Speaking of Hawk... this man right here was no joke when it came to his Rae. Lets not forget his friend, Angel (OMG), between the two they brought it.S.K Hardy is at the top of my list of favorite authors and I love how she weaves characters from her other books... read the Sin City Series and you will see what I mean. Hats off to Ms. Hardy, please don't make us wait long for Lo and Cee Cee's story and the Pattel's in general.
My My My!! Raven and Hawk these two who seems so different but so much alike. Hawk’s heart was busting out of his chest with the love he had for Raven. Raven tried so hard to not love this man but it was no use to resist him the heart loves who it wants. SK you put your heart into this book Thank You for a real heartache, love and happy ending story!!!!!!!!!!!
Bravo.... One of my Fav Author has done it again! Hawk & Raven II was worth the wait! How can you not LOVE Hawks crazy ass... I love his LOVE for Raven and how far, he'd go for her. Just don't take my word for it, check out the Pattels, Two books so far in the series. You'll fall in love with the Pattell Men! It was nice to see Angel! :)
